PROSBECTWS / PROSPECTUS
Cwricwlwm
Nôd yr ysgol yw i ddarparu cwricwlwm eang a chytbwys law yn
llaw â gofynion y llywodraeth. Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol Un dilynir
rhaglenni astudio Cwricwlwm Cenedlaethol Cymru gyda phwyslais ar iaith
er mwyn trochi'r plant yn y Gymraeg a sicrhau sylfaen ieithyddol,
ond yn dysgu pob agwedd o'r Cwricwlwm Cenedlaethol - Mathemateg, Gwyddoniaeth,
Hanes, Daearyddiaeth, Celf, Technoleg Gwybodaeth, Dylunio a Thechnoleg,

Cyflwynir Saesneg i blant ar ddechrau Cyfnod Allweddol Dau gan ddysgu
Mathemateg a Gwyddoniaeth trwy gyfrwng Saesneg. Mae hwn yn galluogi'r
plentyn i drosglwyddo'n hawdd i ysgol uwchradd yng Nghymru neu Lloegr.
Cynigir cwricwlwm i blant Blynyddoedd Cynnar sy'n unol â chanlyniadau
dymunol ar gyfer Addysg Plant Cyn Oed Ysgol Gorfodol.
Prif gryfder yr ysgol fechan hon yw'r gallu i ymateb i'r plant fel
unigolion yn ôl eu personoliaeth, eu gallu personol a'u gofynion
ieithyddol.
Curriculum
The school aims to offer a broad and balanced curriculum in line with
government expectations. We follow the Welsh National Curriculum programmes
of study in Key Stage 1 with great emphasis on language in order to
immerse the children in Welsh and provide a sound linguistic foundation,
but teach all aspects of the National Curriculum - Science, History,
Geography, Art, ICT, Design Technology, Music, Religious Education,
Physical Education, and PSHE (Personal, Health and Social Education)
- in the weekly timetable.
English is introduced as a topic and teaching medium in Key Stage
2, with both Numeracy and Science being taught through the medium
of English. The children are thus enabled to enter secondary education
either in English or Welsh medium schools.
The Foundation stage follows a foundation curriculum which precedes
the National Curriculum.
The school's main strength is its ability to respond to each individual
child's personality, abilities and linguistic needs.
